Sushi for Beginners
Had a lie in this morning as H was at her Granny's and felt quite refreshed (despite several wake ups during the night). Took my car to get the air conditioning recharged, and hit the post office and the shops doing various chores. Then I drove to H's Granny's to collect her. She had been having fun at soft play and visiting one of Granny's friends but was ready to come home with me for a change which was a nice novelty!
We met H's Daddy after work and went for sushi for dinner. We used to go quite regularly pre-H, and we have taken H a couple of times when she was younger, but before she was properly eating, so she really only had a couple of nibbles. This was her first visit as a big girl and she enjoyed watching the plates going round on the conveyor belt and practising with her kids chopsticks. She wasn't overly adventurous with her food, but enjoyed a bowl of yakisoba noodles, a fruit platter, some pumpkin and some chicken katsu.
H was just about to go to bed when we got home, but our house alarm developed a fault and she was slightly perturbed by the noise. So she got to stay up a bit late whilst Daddy fixed the noisy noisy noise.
