Not just another CD.

Well, my computer is nearly dead. It blue screened on me twice yesterday and today it is really struggling. Am not sure that it will be long for this world. Over four years old now and I guess that is old for a PC these days. Annoyingly our first PC, bought in 1986, is still going strong. It was an early HP machine and it has its own operating system so can't run windows based programmes, but it still runs. That's progress for you!

Had a brief play with a magnifying glass and a crysanth tonight - them the man came into the room and said, "Take a picture of my CD.....". NOw if it hadn't been for the fact that he was uber excited I wouldn't have. Apparently there has been much discontent amongst fans of Steven Wilson (also of Porcupine Tree) as the disc was posted on his website and was sold out almost instantly. Only a thousand went to press (I think) and as the man was at home on a sicky, he managed to pick one up. Others weren't so lucky.

Other news: the daughter is working through her PhD proposals and seems to have landed herself an excellent project / supervisors. Sounds like shes going to be interviewing some serious metal bands to do it too. Tell you, I should have chosen my academic career more carefully. Best I can ever hope to achieve is some dusty old book in a dingy archive!
