Well possibly - but if you want to have a marriage in the Church of England, and you happen to reside in Scotland, it's not entirely elementary!

We have not read Banns in Scotland since the Marriage (Scotland) Act 1977. In the Church of England they still do. But it's not as simple as getting your parish church in Scotland just to do the needful. There is an agreement between the Church of Scotland and the Church of England (provided for in the Marriage (Scotland) Act above) that parish churches here will read Banns which are accepted in the Church of England, but the English words won't do here, the Scottish words are barely recognised there.
