A Memorable Day.....
Ten years ago this month, a friend of mine passed away, he was only 21.....
Today his family organised a gathering; a rememberance; a chance for all his family and friends to meet up and remember the loving, caring, funny guy that he was.
I spent the morning wondering through the market as I usually do, there was nothing worth blipping; no street performances or impromptu karaoke sessions unfortunately.....then later in the day I visited my little nephew in his new pad. He even came to meet me at the station, which is quite amazing as he is only 2!!!
This was taken as the sun was setting in the new garden.....all through the day I had thoughts of the memorial in the back of my mind, I was enjoying all these happy moments yet thinking about David and all the happy moments he missed out on.
All the sunsets he'll never see again.
I prepared myself for an emotional evening, and it was a touching and moving affair, but as we remembered him we all came to realise what a great life he had.
It was short but he loved every moment he was given.
He really did make every second count.
He may have seen too few a sunset, but I'm sure he appreciated the beauty in each one.
So, this is for you David xXx
