Siskin, apparently

As we headed up the road to get a bus to the farmers' market I heard a lot of twittering in the aforeblipped scrubby alders. Well, they may be scrubby to our eyes, but they seem to be extremely popular with the wee birds. I'm told that this is a siskin - I didn't realise how small they are. Cute or what?

In terms of the football, some folk had an average to middling sort of day and some folk had a
splendid day. And then there's a Dunfermline Athletic sort of day. Listening to the radio was so depressing that I snapped and went up to Great Junction Street for a new watch strap. (Last of the big spenders...)
