McCormick Threshing Machine circa early 1900s
I made the trek up the side of the Willow Creek Canyon to photograph a train on the Willow Creek Trestle.
I spent an hour waiting for the freight train that often passes about 3pm.
It never came.
The time was well spent nonetheless.
I was accompanied by three red tail hawks using the wind currents to hunt.
I enjoyed a new perspective on Mount Jefferson.
Best of all I had an hour to study an early 1900s McCormick Threshing Machine.
The engineering and construction techniques combining wood and metal in a "horse & buggy" paradigm are absolutely fascinating and quite brilliant.
