That was how I felt when my Press card was declined today at Kensington Palace.

I was the first time that a card of this sort has been turned down for me in this country, but knowing the late Princess of Wales' ambiguous relationship with the press I'm not surprised. Adding the word "Photographer' to that and you know your in trouble.

I'd never been in before despite it being just down the road (and still haven't). Instead I had a look at the topiary in the grounds before going down to Victoria to meet Waddy and Weef for dinner a Tiles wine bar.

In true journalistic tradition we consumed a fair amount of wine, but the only main course that wasn't a complete disaster was the veggie option... you are warned!
