A hinge.
It was a warm but annoyingly windy day here in Edinburgh. Work was not too busy but we had two big groups coming to do the tour.
It was a bit 'fun' today because, due to the shop refurbishment works, half of the building was closed. It's a very strange building that has two different sets of stairs that lead you to two completely different places, wich often confuses visitors to the centre. The reason for this is that the building was originally a school, Castle Hill School, and the two sets of stairs were devised so that girls and boys never met! Anyway, so it was a bit of a long trek to get from one side of the building to the other. On top of that, due to the dust emanating from the aforementioned works, the fire alarm went off! I was glad it was not too busy at that point!
Not much more happening.
A bit more upbeat today and having a wee plan in mind about my cakes. At the moment I've been making cakes for friends, a couple of commissions here and there, but nothing major. I've been having very good feedback from them as well. So I've been thinking of maybe making some cakes with very cheap ingredients and decorate them beautifully, take a picture of them and, in this way, widen my portfolio of cake pictures. After that, I may start a wee website for celebration cakes. But at the moment it's just an idea that, of course, needs careful thinking and planning. If anything, this would give me a sense of achievement, which I'm lacking at the moment.
Thanks very much for you nice comments! I hope you all had a great day! :)
