Sweet like Kandy

Last Friday we arrived in Sri Lanka and me oh my, what a terrific country this is! Sun, sea, heritage, hills, curry, cricket and the kindest people. At the same time there's poverty, corruption and fear of secret services and terrorism. Still we meet a lot of positive, brave and generous people. Bit of a cliche maybe, but I'm very impressed.

Don't really feel like putting the photos from my camera onto a computer, so you will have to do with a stand in. Today's Blip will probably one of the amazing vistas from Sigirya rock, or the monkey who snitched J's banana. Or maybe the young buddhist monks we met in their lovely red and orange robes.

Right now I'm sitting in the lobby of our Kandy hotel, enjoying the view over the city and the surrounding hills.
