An ordinary day of routine with some domestic love thrown in :-) Get up, go to work, come home, make dinner, take a random photo. I did receive a lovely box of Bendick's mints through the post along with a couple of magazines which I'm looking forward to reading. Scoffing mints and drinking coffee as I type.
Something is decapitating the winter flowers in my garden. I had all of THREE winter aconites (I believe in starting small) all just about to open into flower, and two of them were decapitated over the weekend. A huge crocus was also gnawed and the fritillaries have had their budded heads chewed off. I don't know what's doing it, but whatever it is is not interested in eating the plant, just decapitating and moving on to target the next plant which is about to give me joy. I haven't seen any slugs around here so far this year so I doubt it's them, the squirrels would make a huge mess if they were the culprits and there are few birds due to the number of cats. And it's the cats that I suspect. Cats! Grrrr.
Speaking of squirrels it reminds me of the fun I used to have asking my Japanese friends to pronounce the word squirrel. It's an English world chock full of all the sounds a Japanese speaker has trouble with. He he he...
