There and back again

Brass rubbing

Around the edge of Lamberts Castle some one or some organisation has erected a series of small brass plaques on wooden posts. Each plaque depicts a different activity or time of something from the history of the area. I think that the idea is for children to hunt for these plaques and take a brass rubbing off of it. I remember someone telling me that there was to be a book or pamphlet printed to go with the series, but it never seem to come to fruition. Meanwhile the post stand there and are used by grazing cattle to scratch their heads of backside on!
