Buggy Day

After my run this morning, banana oatmeal pancakes sounded good, so I decided to give them a try. After the banana was mashed in the bowl, I poured in some hot water. With a second glance, I noticed brown dots. "I didn't think my banana was that brown." I thought to myself. Then I looked more closely?they were a bunch of tiny ants that had gotten into our electric water kettle. I scooped most of them out with a spoon and continued making the pancakes. Nathan wasn't informed about the extra ingredients until after he had eaten most of his pancake. (He still finished it though.)

This evening, I found this creature in the common area. While I was trying to catch his portrait, he climbed up on my camera. I brought my camera upstairs in hopes of getting his picture with my little point&shoot, wouldn't that have been great. But by the time I got it out he had climbed onto this package. When he started climbing up my pants I decided our photo shoot was over, and I walked outside to shake him off.
