Purple Primrose

These grow so well here. The original clump has been divided many times and now they are growing all over the place. I stuck pieces of root in the cracks between the stones of this newly built wall last summer, and now already it's in bloom.

I nearly posted a blip of the pile of wood I sawed today, but thought it looked a bit mundane. Whenever I decide to do some chainsawing I need to brace myself and remind myself how impossibly long the job would take if I were to use the bowsaw. So today I braced myself and cleared several piles of waste wood that had accumulated over winter. I was glad when I'd finished.
