Nest building

As well as being a sure sign that Spring is around the corner, it's been nice to see some birds this morning, having seen a sum total of one last week in Finland. That was an owl, which was spotted by some, what appeared to be, twitchers, in the cafe at the ski centre where they have bird watching telescopes set up for customers to use. There was great excitement and one of them called me over to look at the owl who was sitting on top of a tree; unfortunately I couldn't tell what sort it was.

The other thing I really enjoyed this morning was taking the dogs for a walk. It was a balmy -3 degrees and beautifully sunny and frosty. We saw various birds including the resident robins who are always at one particular tree, and I also heard the distinctive call of the Iron Hill buzzard overhead.

I'm studying today but will be catching up on my commenting soon.
