One lonely boat
Up early (with many more hours of reading still ahead of me) and out on my run before sunrise. The moon was a thin crescent too high above the horizon to enable a good picture with the red tinged clouds below. So I just enjoyed it.
Along the Snells Beach frontage as the sun was getting closer and closer to breaking through the clouds. Increasingly dramatic reflections in the almost still water over the flats.
Before I got along to where there are pohutukawa touching the one on either side for more than a half kilometre, the sky was a bit darker than this and the reflections more pronounced. I chose this picture over that because of the lone boat, in water that appears aflame. Once more taken from under a pohutukawa.
