Mardi Gras Floats

Usually my Blips from the road are of the models I photograph during my seminar and workshops. Today, however, I got lucky. This is the first weekend of Mardi Gras in New Orleans and several Krewes parked their floats overnight on the side street outside our hotel.

We never had a chance to see any parades (a bit difficult with cold windy weather AND a 7am call the next morning...), but this was a cool and colorful substitute...
