Do you know my favourite piece of office equipment?

The printer.

I love the thought and design that goes into the build of modern office printers. I'm talking about the big stand up ones here. They have multiple paper trays, feeders, photocopier glass, multiple output bays and big hoofing ink cartridges.

Now all this machinery and electronics could quite easily be a recipe for breakdowns and debilitating paper jams every other hour. The design of both the machinery and software is so brilliant that they do a damn fine job of diagnosing themselves and pointing any users to where paper is jammed or which ink cartridges require replacing. Some of the bigger ones even step you through how to get to the afflicted part and are built so all that is required is flicking a few levers and switches.

It's design that reminds me of Dyson vacuums.
