Seeing is believing

Away with the fairies!

When I was a little girl I had a Flower Fairy called Heliotrope. I loved her so much. I used to carry her around, brush her hair and make little houses for her in the garden. At Christmas she had her own little stocking and Santa used to leave a gold chocolate coin in it. Heliotrope was brilliant.

Much to my excitement, fairies appear to have taken up residence in Saltwell Park's dene. Hidden in the trees, the bushes and by the stream, is a whole community of fairy homes!

Yes, I am serious.

I ran around like a lunatic today spotting houses, castles, mushrooms and this washing line. And no, before the cynics say it, they weren't magic mushrooms and I didn't imagine it.

I have no idea where the fairy homes have come from, I just hope they will still be there tomorrow. In fact, I don't really want to know where they came from - that would spoil it. They are there, and I'm happy.

My photos of the houses didn't come out very well (it was getting dark) so I'll get a blip of them tomorrow (hopefully!)

I'm away to take my medication now.
