Old Growth...

It's funny. Everyday I work in the trees, climbing, rappelling, zipping. Today after work (which was pretty awesome, we tested our 1400 ft. zip) my roommate Jose, and co workers Max and Pilo went on a hike to find some old growth Hemlock trees. I was/am really tired and was thinking of not going, but then, I decided to just go and enjoy the woods.

I don't think it's done enough, but walking in the woods is easily one of the most therapeutic things to do. We walked and as the sun was setting and darkness was falling in the woods we let our eyes adjust and enjoy the light that was left. We reached these old trees and it hit me that I was so happy I came on this hike. These trees are over 300 years old and have been standing by a river for their entire life. Imagine the stuff they have seen!

Go walk in silence in the woods and right after listen to Bon Iver, I bet they'll blend together really well!
