Todays Mission...

So this job definitely throws a bunch of weird tasks my way. I spend a good deal of today up in trees. I drilled a whole for a bolt, wrapped a cable around some trees, and the first thing we did when we got to the job site was this. We had a spool of 5000 ft. of cable and we had to knock it on its side so it would roll. This spool all together weighs roughly 2500 lbs. (for you Euros/Brits that is 1,133.9 kg or 178.5 stones) So the way we knocked it over was attaching the slings that can hole 5000 lbs to a truck and pulling it over...Gotta love mechanical advantage!
