Dean Bridge battlements
Following a busy day I had a brisk walk home, along Princes Street and over the The Dean Bridge with the weather turning bit colder.
Surprisingly there was still lots of tourist diving in and out of the shops and generally having what looked like a fun time even though they were all wrapped up. like cartoon 'mummys'
I wonder what the attraction is at this time of year? Of course, the city still looks lovely and there's still plenty to do but it is the middle of winter. Who knows?
One of the benefits of crossing the bridge is to get this view of the back of the New Town crescents looking like the battlements of a medieval walled city catching the last of the light.
So after 20 minutes it was home in time for rissotto, Hancock's Half Hour and an early night.
