Whale Bridge

Day 1 - Wellington Exploration

Slept in pretty late to get over the immense lack of sleep from the past few days. Then went for a wander along the coast into the city today to see what Wellington's all about. It was pretty hot and a lovely walk in to town, past some coves and beaches with signs saying that penguins live there!!

Got my bearings and had a look round some shops and a quick look at the main museum Te Papa, which I'll go back to on a rainy day. Found this whale bridge at the Civic Centre which was pretty cool so papped it and continued on my way.

Met Ralph after his work and had a couple drinks at Mac's Brewery, before having some lovely Malaysian food at KK's and a couple more pints in various cool locations.

Trying to decide if I'm enough of a nerd to justify a Lord of the Rings tour...
