Deliverance

Finally arrived in Wellington on Sunday evening, after 3 days, 4 flights, 4 time zones and 3 hours of sleep.

Had a stopover in Auckland on the way, where I really hoped I could find a shower facility but had to make do wish washing my face in the sink. I also took the executive decision to drink a big huge cup of black coffee which, with the addition of listening to Sophie's World on audiobook, sent me into a quivering mass of confusion for a few hours. Managed to get myself on the right plane though and had a quick nap.

Got picked up at Wellington Airport by Ralph and his missus and it was lovely to see him (not only because he signalled the end of my enforced, overtired vigilant state). Had some dinner and a glass of wine then hit the hay for some much needed sleep.

And that, folks, is pretty much where I am now. Woke up at 5.30am and couldn't get back to sleep so have uploaded these and might go back to rest for a few hours. Think today's meant to be a nice day so will probably go for a wander around town to get my bearings.
