34. dairy queen

DQ! that's what i like about texas!

okay, so, i have to admit, i can't remember the last time i actually ate anything but a blizzard (a kind of ice cream) from a dairy queen. though they serve fast food burgers, etc.

dairy queen is the ultimate in road trip food (i find myself getting some sort of blizzard any time i do a long road trip) - i had a "mini" blizzard when we went to big bend. i have to admit, i didn't even know it existed before that trip.

a blizzard is basically vanilla ice cream with a mix-in (i get m&m's) stirred to a very thick consistency.

this is the dairy queen around the corner from my house. it's obviously an old one. i've never been in. part of the reason is probably that i run by it almost every day, and running and blizzards need to be separate in my consciousness.
