Sprouting wheatgrass: Day 5

This batch is perhaps too densely sown - it looks a bit crowded in there, each seed jostling for a patch of soil. They grown hydroponically so don't actually need soil, provided they get enough water (and later on sunlight).

I'm going to keep the lid on another night or so. For comparison, in the Spring/Summer there would be two inch shoots by now.
