Thomas

Had a lovely day at the Churnet Valley Railway, where they were having a Thomas day. J was popping with excitement. The trains all looked great, and this Thomas and his brake van were just brilliant. J met the Fat Controller, had two rides on Thomas and three other train rides. All in all the best kind of day when you are three and a half. The small child seemed to enjoy it too, and insisted on tottering up and down when the train was moving. We were really lucky with the weather, it wasn't too cold and nor did it rain.

I coped remarkable well, despite not rolling home until 1.30am after a lovely evening with friends. My friend's birthday present from her husband was that he cooked six of us dinner, waited on us and washed up - and the food was amazing -scallops with pea and mint risotto. So pleased that I am one of her closest friends and got an invite!
