Engine Tribute Pt. 2

Right to continue my tribute to the car engine this is photo of a cam shaft from an engine. I love the combination of textures that can be seen in this photo, the rough oily shaft (no pun intended) against the slick shiny cams.

You can see the wear on the shaft from millions (possibly billions)of revolutions against the rockers. The pear shape of the cams does make this very interesting object to have around and different light conditions make it look very different.
