Over the Hardangervidda
It's always a bit of a lottery taking pictures from train windows - there are lots of stray reflections, thereis no time to frame the shot, and how come there is so often a concrete pillar in the middle of the frame?
Anyway, today's blip was always going to be taken from a train window.
I spent today on the Bergensbanen - the railway line between Oslo and Bergen. It starts at sea level in Oslo, then climbs up and across the Hardangervidda plateau (the track gets to over 4000 feet above sea level), before dropping back down to the sea at Bergen. This is pretty typically scenary over the top of the plateau - the weather was grey and overcast in Oslo and it was dark by the time we got to Bergen, but in the middle of the day we had bright sunshine and blue skies.
