The almond blossom in the Algarve this year is really lovely and has lingered longer than in the last few years. Combined with the powder blue skies, it is all very beautiful.

Wonderful full moon last night. So bright.

Today I heard the first cuckoo of the year and saw the first swallows.

Have just got myself hooked on a US tv series called Friday Night Lights. 4 episodes watched, 72 to go! [According to Wikipedia, the series details events surrounding a high school football team based in fictional Dillon, Texas, with particular focus given to team coach Eric Taylor (Kyle Chandler) and his family. The show uses this small town backdrop to address many issues facing contemporary American culture, including school funding, racism, drugs, abortion, and lack of economic opportunities.]

Building an adaptation to the pickup box for the tractor so that it can carry three times as much on each load. Then I'm going to start a bit of a spring clean on all the storage spaces (well-house, mud huts etc) where I have accumulated lots of useless stuff. Its all going in the adapted pickup box and down to the lixo
