Queen Mary 2

"It is not every day you get to photograph a Queen"

Today was however one such day when the Queen Mary 2 sailed into Fremantle at 0645 wst from South Africa.

As I had breakfast on the beach she sailed past us and entered Fremantle Port. She was so large, yet so majestic.

Later that morning I went down to the Port and took a large number of photos from all different angles. I never realised how difficult it could be taking shots of such a graceful, but large object. In Port everything got in the way of a good photo.

I ended up with a number I liked but settled on the bold and simple one, which stamps her as a vessel with grace and impact.

It was a fun morning but frustrating in some ways. In the end I really enjoyed the challenge and was certainly very impressed with the Queen Mary 2.
