Here come 'the girls'.

Bright morning so after downloading weekend photos felt the urge to have a run out. Had to clear 6ins of snow from the car and edge it gingerly down the icy drive. Snowy scenes everywhere but thankfully the roads are clear.
After lunch walked the fields first of all calling in on R's hens. When our neighbours go away we look after them and today they were very pleased to see the corn appearing.
Shortly afterwards the geese gave a noisy greeting from their field. Must take food down for them tomorrow, technically they are owned but in reality are left to their own devices so one or two of us feed them in the bad weather.
The weather is closing in and after the brightness of the morning it has become quite gloomy. Off to auditions tonight mainly to have a read through and a convivial get together. Hope the roads remain ice free!
