A is for American Fencing? (Ponty's Challenge)

Is this a subset of the real sport? Who made the rules? Are they the same?

This is between me and Whitaker Ponds and I had to stop and take a snap. I have photographed it twice before as a back up, but never actually blipped it. The truly blue sky sealed the deal.

Now it is nearly time for the Super Bowl and lots of bad for me snacks.
