The coal bing
It would appear that the tree of choice for covering up our shit is the silver birch. Plean coal bing has been "remediated" by covering with a dense layer of birch. The land below still screams "bing" but now it's a forest, lovely and natural.
Had a wander around Plean country park. It's the first time we've been there since the boys started to get over their dog fear and there has been a difference. Apart from the storm damage the council have been in to try and clear the huge areas of rhodedendrons that choke the native species; the place looks far more open now. Tried the geocache thingy but I'd forgotten my details, all sorted now and me and the boys will be out hunting for "treasure" in weeks to come. Apparently there are quite a few on our bike rides, so we'll get into them.
