One of those days

Seems like the nmajority of the country was getting snowed on, we just got rain, loads of it.

Took Callum down to his football training and then bolted for the dry safety of Asda and then the library. Stenny library hasn't the best selection but it's there and whilst the librarian was apologising for a steep increase in fines I pondered on the alternative. Victorian philanthropists knew the value of libraries that's why they built so many (ours in Grangemouth was funded by Carnegie, I have opinions on him a bit at odds with most misty eyed Scots) to lose them would be a tragedy. Better the fines I reckon.

After lunch we avoided the rain by going ..swimming. A good laugh was had all round.

So that was about the length of my outdoors activity. Soup and lasagna was made, siskins watched from the windows, football listened to (good guys won) and Mario Kart was played. Once the kids are down hoppy beer will be drunk and there is some film involving a bloke called Clooney. Dawn is keen to see it for some reason.

Thanks to everybody that popped by and left greetings yesterday. It was much appreciated. I'll be back to try and dump another grey concrete box on the spotlight page again next year..... ;)
