Lighthouse & Palm Trees

Just outside where I live there's a lighthouse that isn't a lighthouse. It's only for show. Like a lot of things here.

In addition to floodlit palm tress which, arguably, make this place look a little more attractive possibly like some kind of resort.

According to signs posted here this area is also a 'border patrol defence area'. As one may expect. It's not unusual to see Chinese Border Defence soldiers driving around. Strange thing is from time to time you can 'thumping' dance music booming out of the long wheel base Ford Transit minibuses they use.



It's been rather warm today in to the 20s.
