Larffing in bath (and Bristol)
Went to visit my brother and his lovely girlfriend in bath today. Not knowing what the weather would do, we aimed to set off at 7am and get there early. It was bloody cold though, -9.5°c, which was a bit too refreshing. With kids, you never leave when u plan to so it was actually 8am before we hit the road. Got there in good time though. Loved watching all 3 in the back of the car reading their books ;-)
Will and Erin were great as always. We miss them living a few hrs away but it's seems hard to make a plan to visit. Always seems to be things scheduled in the calendar.
We caught the train to @bristol. Lots of sciency experiments and the upstairs was all about animation. Hooray for morph and Wallace and grommit. We even made our own short movie.
Had a quick curry in way from train station to get warm dry and filled up.
Erin tried on her bridesmaid dress, she looks great in it!
We could've stayed over but by then the snow was really falling and we were worried about getting stuck here tomorrow. Can't imagine what the roads will be like with all the returning traffic
It took about 4 hrs, witnessed quite a few smashed cars, and had a couple of spins ourselves. Highlight being the car in front who didn't have any brakes. He was having to signal when he wanted to slow down by waving his hand out of the window while snow blew in his car!
Got home in one piece though. About 4 inches here it seems. Nothing like my own bed :)
