"Girl in the cafe" February challenge 4/

My mum - "Girl in the cafe". Todays's the "username" challenge - 4/29.

It is my mum's 70th birthday today. Master Pink phoned her this morning and wished her a happy birthday, and asked her to come out for lunch with us. Mum didn't know where we were going or who with. For the past couple of months me and my brother's have been planning a little "surprise" do for Mum's special day. We took mum to a local cafe, which serves delicious homemade food, it is on the quay front in Mistley. My brother Pete and his wife travelled down from London to meet up with us, which mum hadn't expected (she thought he was working). We had a yummy lunch. Afterwards as were opening presents, some more (surprise) guests arrived - all friends of mum from past and present who I'd been inviting in secret!! They stayed with us for tea and cakes and everyone seemed to be having a lovely time.

Back at home Mum had her birthday cake number two (a giant cupcake). We looked through mum's cards and pressies, and watched Tangled with the mini pinks.

It's been a lovely day for my lovely mum!
