The real George and Mildred....

Gaaaaah, 5th Birthday Parties are a nightmare time consuming :-/

Cake is now baked, garish Mike the Knight cake topper has been (partially) successfully applied, brownies have been made for the grown ups, snow has been forecast.... all the ingredients are swirling around in wonderful anticipation of the joy of tomorrow...

Oh god, they're all going to get frost bite and sue me.

Seriously, party preparation (and vomit) should be explained in detail to anyone considering dipping a toe into the wonderful world of parenting.

Also, what any parent needs at this exact point is for the teachers from school to bestow the dubious honour of taking George and Mildred home for the weekend. They come accompanied by a book containing annoying photographs and witty comments from previous weekenders. Just exactly what I need to be thinking about returning by 8.50am on Monday.
