More teamwork activities at school today - a variety of challenges including scavenger hunt, campfire masterchef, water games and an engineering challenge.

I found it really hard to choose between the photos of the kids today, and finally narrowed it down to two. Neither of them is a good photo but they really say something about the day.

In the masterchef challenge the kids had to build campfires on the school field then cook pancakes on them. S here turned out to be the master pancake flipper. In this pool challenge the kids had to pair up and attempt to knock each other off - using only noodles and not their bodies. The girls are laughing so hard here it's amazing they're still upright but they did manage to put up a strong challenge against this pair of boys (NB: we didn't gender group them at all, they self selected here).

I was amazed all day at how inventive the kids are, and how well they all worked in their groups to come up with creative solutions to the tasks they were set.

A successful two days - being in classes and doing subject work on Tuesday will be a bit anticlimatic for us all I think.

To prepare ME for the challenge, I'm off to Hokitika tomorrow for a visit to my parents and some R & R.
