Oh "deer"

This pretty deer was standing right next to the path. While there were other deer nearby, they were moving around to browse on the vegetation, but she didn't move away as I approached. She was favoring one leg as though she had injured it. I stopped and chatted with her a bit as I took her picture, telling her I hoped she would be okay. Their legs are so fragile, or look that way anyway, but they are beautiful and graceful as they run and leap among the trees.

We enjoyed blue skies and sunshine for most of the day and mild temperatures. Not a bit like the usual weather for February.
