Ray Bay
Sunlight streaming through occasional breaks in the cloud at Belhaven Bay, East Lothian. On the way to pick up the little ones from school, there was finally a break in the grey day so I diverted via the coastal path to snap away for a minute or two.
Large Rays.
Seems these are call "Crepuscular Rays" - I've known for years they're actually parallel (unintuitive, but the sun is really quite far away after all!) and the satellite image on the Wikipedia page above gives a great illustration of that.
Now there's a big smoked hough (pig's knee) in the pot, boiling away with some potatoes and carrots to make a ham broth. Yum. The children are all quietly absorbed in their reading and telly watching, whilst I finish off some work. Very agreeable :)
