Pain and Logs

Strange combination maybe but that has been what my day has been about.

It is a nothing of a photo I know, but these logs are notable for us, if only because this is the first time we have ever had to actually buy any. For the last 8 1/2 years (since we moved here), our wonderful neighbours have given us wood for free and each summer we would spend a few days with a chainsaw and an axe making the winter's supply of logs. Yes.....me with a chainsaw!

Anyway, as our neighbours are (sadly) moving on and have had so much to organise and sort out, we didn't get any wood last summer and our supply has finally run out. As we have no central heating at all, we rely heavily on our wood burning stove in our lounge to provide at least one warm room to sit in. This little lot will hopefully last us a few months.

Anyway, that's the logs....the pain I mention is not the pain of having to pay for them ;-) I suffer from endometriosis and so once each month I have a few days of quite severe pain in various places. It affects what I can do, what I can eat and drink and leaves me feeling pretty low. So...it is a day of painkillers and hot water bottles today which should help the pain. Not a lot I can do about the low mood sadly.
