The Herd

What a delightful surprise to see four deer feeding not too far from the house today. I always shudder the end of December, when hunting season ends, wondering if the little herd will appear again.

I had Daughter rush to grab the Nikon camera and I began snapping away. I thought I got some great shots....until I noticed there was no card in the thing! Argh! I quickly ran upstairs, grabbed a card and hurried out to take some more shots.

Unfortunately for me, the herd had moved up the hill, so I had to be happy with what I could capture!
