Fight 1

Just toast for Bruce for breakfast as his weigh-in is at 11am and he is close to the 60kg limit. He weighs in at 59.6kg and afterwards treats himself to a litre of Lucozade Sport. His fights are at 2pm.

The guys in his Age Band are all older, and higher grades but even so in his 3 fights he didn't get thrown. He even managed a yuko (half-thow) on one guy but he was beaten in every fight by hold-downs from which he couldn't escape. He was disappointed but realises he needs to develop his ground work to win competitions in England where they concentrate on this more.

So no medal, no top 5 finish but he has another year in this Age Band and next year all the top guys in this group will have moved on.
