Housing Market Flatlines
...was a headline in today's Guardian and gave me the idea for today's blip. Taking this photograph entailed another walk along the Canal. However, in order to avoid the embarrassment of three consecutive blips of canal shots, which would have required me, spuriously and retrospectively to proclaim a "series," I was determined that there would be no actual canal stuff in it. Other pictures from today can be seen here
This is Clegg Hall, built in the early 17th Century. When I first saw it, about 12 years ago, the Hall was a ruin. However, a new owner restored the building a few years ago. And now it is for sale, for a mere £534,950. For that price, as you can see here you get 22 rooms, fabulous views across the canal from an elevated position to the (today, snow-capped) Pennine Hills, a secluded location (i.e. an umade road) and a "boggart" or ghost.
I am not getting any commission from the estate agents although would accept if offered.
