Not Patagonia
The Sawtooth Mountains within spitting distance of Stanley, Idaho (often with the coldest temps. in the United States) are a mecca for those of us who know this area for riding, skiing, hiking, climbing. and gawking. We drove north in the valley so as to get closer to the most dramatic end of the ranges that run both sides and through 40 miles of sloping wide meadows; then drove back a ways to ski with friends and have dinner together at an old cowboy like stopping place called Smiley Creek. Great day!
