Knit one, purl one....

"E" has decided that he wants to have a bash at knitting, inspired by Mrs A the classroom assistant at school. He is gutted that she is retiring soon and he will not have her teaching him her craftwork ways for much longer so he has taken it upon himself to skill himself in the art of knitting.

She was teaching them cross stitch last week.

The problem is I HATE KNITTING AND SEWING!!
I will paint, create craftwork, polish agates, do silversmithing, anything, but I can't knit or sew. The shame of it is one of my Gran was a milliner and the other a tailoress, my Mum is a beautiful knitter too.

We started off casting on 15 stitches to create the leg of the teddy..........by row 6 this had increased to 21 stitches per row....go figure!
