Brentford Dock was built between 1855-59 by the Great Western Railway, to a design by Brunel, for the transfer of goods between river & rail.
Coal, steel, timber, flour, animal feed &, in the '50s, Morris cars all passed through.
The dock closed in 1964 & was redeveloped as a marina in 1972.
