Ports of Auckland Tour

We went on the free Ports of Auckland today on the 360 boat that normally goes out to Tiritiri Matangi. What a fantastic outing. An hour long tour of the ports from boat, plus going under the Harbour Bridge. Well worth going on. If anyone is interested you book via this website

After this, we wandered up to the Sky Tower, where I had booked us into the Observatory restaurant. YUMMY!!! Great views across the harbour from a different perspective to what we'd had earlier in the day. Plus the added comedy of the Skywalkers cacking themselves as they walk around the outside of the Sky Tower right at the level we were at. Also we could watch the jumpers doing their thing as well. Downstairs at the Sky Tower, they had the Weta Cave up and running with all kinds of displays of Weta's work, if you're into Lord of the Rings, Tintin, or Avatar, you'd be in heaven.

After that, we headed down to the playground at the Wynyard Quarter to hang out. On our way back to the car, we watched 2 acts who are in the International Buskers Festival.

Auckland...you rocked it today! I've not been feeling the love for the inner city for a few years, but I think my heart has been caught again.
