Another...

...exciting day in huge D.F.

I got to see a lot of different places around the city today and again learned many new things concerning everyday-life here.

Unfortunately my body is still not fully used to the city, so I keep on being immensely tired for large parts of the day, but that should soon be over ;-)

Also I decided to not let myself get panicked by what people tell me about eating food from places in the streets, because I believe if you follow some basic rules you should be fine..and I never got sick in either India or Turkey either and I feel like thinking about these things too much is taking away a lot of life-quality from me.

But: I must accept that apparently walking outside is not safe as soon as darkness falls wherever you are (outside gated communities), which means that also at 8 or 9 in the evening one should not walk home alone but rather take a taxi. I guess this is something I will struggle with in the following months, because I love my walks home at night.

I so cannot wait to start travelling around the country, Mexico is so rich in terms of culture and history..hopefully next weekend ;-)
